Responsibilities Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper cleaning techniques. Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure all areas are organized and sanitary throughout shifts. Assist with bussing tables and clearing plates to support smooth service flow during busy periods. Support food preparation tasks as needed, including basic food handling and ingredient setup under supervision. Help with light cleaning duties in the kitchen and dining areas to uphold hygiene standards. Follow safety protocols for handling cleaning chemicals and operating dishwashing machinery safely. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely availability of clean dishes and utensils for food service operations. Skills Strong understanding of food handling safety and sanitation procedures. Experience in food service environments such as restaurants, hotels, catering, or banquet settings. Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting heavy items, and bending. Knowledge of kitchen operations including basic food preparation and bussing techniques. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with cleaning protocols specific to culinary settings to ensure compliance with health standards. Prior experience in hospitality or culinary roles is preferred but not required; eagerness to learn is valued.
