Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Dishwasher/Busser to join our growing coffee shop team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming café environment to ensure every guest has a positive experience. The ideal candidate values cleanliness, works efficiently in a fast-paced setting, and has a strong team-oriented mindset. Previous restaurant or café experience is a plus but not required—we welcome motivated individuals who are eager to learn and grow within a supportive hospitality environment. Duties Responsible for thoroughly cleaning dishes, glassware, utensils, pitchers, trays, and café equipment to maintain strict sanitation standards. Assist with bussing tables by clearing cups, plates, and trash promptly to keep the café clean and inviting. Support baristas and front-of-house staff during busy periods by organizing dish flow and maintaining workspace cleanliness. Maintain cleanliness of customer seating areas, including wiping tables, sanitizing surfaces, sweeping, and mopping floors. Take out trash and recycling as needed to ensure a hygienic environment. Restock supplies such as cups, lids, napkins, straws, and cleaning materials to support smooth daily operations. Ensure all work areas remain organized and stocked for efficient service throughout the day. Collaborate closely with team members to uphold high cleanliness standards and contribute to a positive café atmosphere. Requirements Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or café environments is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential. Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and carrying moderate loads. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and organization. Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team. Positive attitude and willingness to support overall coffee shop operations. Flexibility to work peak hours, including weekends, as needed.
