Duties Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures Follow proper manual handling techniques when lifting heavy pots, trays, or boxes to prevent injury. Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces, adhering to sanitation standards. Assist in food safety practices by properly disposing of waste and ensuring all cleaning supplies are stored safely. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while following health and safety standards to prevent accidents or contamination. Qualifications Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential. Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation standards is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently throughout shifts. Familiarity with basic kitchen operations such as dishwashing, bussing, or food handling is advantageous. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced environment.
