In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment while assisting with food preparation to support our culinary operations. Your enthusiasm and dedication will contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences, whether in a restaurant, hotel, catering event, or banquet setting. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food handling, kitchen operations, and hospitality service. Responsibilities Ensure all dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to health standards. Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning to support chefs and kitchen staff. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including sweeping, mopping, trash disposal, and organizing supplies to uphold a safe and hygienic environment. Support catering and banquet events by helping with setup, breakdown, and bussing tables as needed. Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods and special events. Contribute to a positive team atmosphere by demonstrating hospitality-minded behavior and a proactive attitude. Requirements Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; eagerness to learn is valued. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy trays or equipment. Knowledge of basic cleaning procedures and food safety standards. Familiarity with food preparation techniques such as bussing tables, basic cooking skills, or catering experience is a plus. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain cleanliness and efficiency in the kitchen. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues in fast-paced settings. Prior experience in banquet service or hotel culinary operations is advantageous but not mandatory.
