Job Description
Southern Utah Veterans Home in Ivins, Utah is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Dishwasher to join our outstanding team! $15.50 - $16.50/hour
Part Time- Weekends& Nights Job Summary The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen utensils, dishes, and equipment at the Southern Utah Veterans Home. This role ensures a clean and safe environment in the kitchen by efficiently washing, drying, and organizing dishware and kitchen tools. Key Responsibilities
Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwasher or by hand.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils.
Sort and stack clean dishes and utensils in designated areas.
Dispose of trash and recyclables properly and maintain cleanliness of trash areas.
Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation and kitchen duties as needed.
Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle repetitive tasks.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Willingness to follow all safety and sanitation procedures.
Work Environment This position requires working in a kitchen environment with exposure to heat, steam, and wet conditions. The Dishwasher will be required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment and adhere to all safety protocols.
