In this lively role, you will be responsible for maintaining a spotless and organized kitchen environment, ensuring all dishes, utensils, and cookware are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Your energetic approach will support our culinary team by providing a steady flow of clean items, enabling seamless food preparation, serving, and catering operations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop foundational culinary skills while contributing to a vibrant hospitality environment. Duties Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment or manual methods. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations by regularly cleaning countertops, sinks, and storage areas to uphold health standards. Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables or assembling ingredients when needed to support chefs and catering staff. Support banquet and catering events by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for use. Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene compliance at all times. Organize dishware and kitchen supplies for easy access and inventory management. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow during busy service hours. Experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key! Familiarity with basic cleaning techniques and food handling safety standards is advantageous. Experience working in banquet settings or catering environments can be a plus. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and efficiency. Knowledge of kitchen operations, including bussing tables or assisting with food prep, enhances your fit for this role.
