Position Overview The Gala 417 is a busy waterfront wedding and event venue looking for a dependable, hardworking Dishwasher/Food Prep Assistant to join our catering team. This is an active, hands-on position that plays an important role in keeping our kitchen organized and events running smoothly. This position is ideal for someone who works diligently, takes pride in keeping a clean workspace, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Experience is helpful, but reliability, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn are most important!

Responsibilities include:

Washing dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment Keeping the dishwashing and kitchen areas clean, organized, and sanitary Assisting with basic food preparation and plating as directed by the culinary team Restocking dishes, supplies, and service items throughout events Removing trash and maintaining clean floors and work surfaces Helping with kitchen setup and cleanup before, during, and after events Following all food-safety and sanitation procedures Supporting the culinary and event teams wherever needed What we're looking for: Dependable and punctual Able to work efficiently without constant supervision Comfortable standing and moving for extended periods Able to lift and carry up to 40-50 pounds Willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when events are scheduled Able to remain calm and productive during busy events Professional, respectful, and team-oriented Reliable transportation to and from work

Schedule:

This is a part-time, event-based position. Most shifts take place Thursday through Sunday and may include daytime or evening hours depending on the event schedule.
