Job Description

Our small, local Korean restaurant (the only Korean restaurant in Williamsburg) is looking for a reliable new team member. We're not just hiring for a job; we're looking for someone who wants a steady place and can grow with us over time! We're usually steady, but there are busy rushes during lunch and dinner, so we need someone who can stay focused and keep up when it picks up. Experience in kitchens or food service is preferred, but it's not required. You don't need to know Korean or Asian food; we're happy to teach as long as you're willing to learn and put in effort. This is a great opportunity for individuals with a positive attitude who want to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced restaurant setting while being part of a supportive team. You get a

during every full shift and have Sundays off. Responsibilities Wash, sanitize, and rinse dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area at all times. Assist with basic kitchen tasks as needed during service. Prepare ingredients for the kitchen, such as portioning, organizing, and setting out items needed for cooking and assembly. Help plate dishes to be sent out to customers. Place food items into to-go boxes. Sauce and prepare items such as chicken according to kitchen instructions. Keep the kitchen and back-of-house areas clean, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping surfaces.e Take out trash and recycling, ensuring proper disposal procedures are followed. Support kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth operations. Qualifications Must be 16+ years old . No prior experience required; kitchen or restaurant experience is a plus. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Ability to work consistent, regular schedules. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling busy rushes. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to bend, lift, and carry items weighing at least 20 lbs. Strong teamwork and communication skills.
