Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary staff and enhancing the overall dining experience for our guests. Duties Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including washing vegetables and preparing ingredients. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Support cooks and other kitchen staff by providing clean tools and equipment for food preparation. Help with bussing tables during peak service times to maintain a smooth workflow in the restaurant. Follow all safety and sanitation policies to ensure a safe working environment. Skills Experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with culinary staff. Willingness to assist in various tasks within the kitchen as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a positive attitude. Basic understanding of culinary terms related to food preparation and service is beneficial.
