Responsibilities Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools using proper cleaning procedures. Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure all equipment is in good working order. Assist with food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, or organizing ingredients when needed. Support bussing duties by clearing tables and ensuring dining areas are tidy and ready for guests. Follow food handling safety protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to manage inventory of clean items and notify supervisors of supplies needed. Uphold cleanliness standards through regular cleaning of floors, sinks, and work surfaces in the dish area. Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided. Familiarity with basic kitchen operations such as bussing or food preparation is a plus. Experience working in banquet settings or catering environments can be advantageous. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices is beneficial.
