Job Overview Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Dishwasher/Cleaner, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our kitchen running smoothly and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. In this vital role, you will ensure that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, creating a safe and welcoming environment for both staff and guests. Your proactive approach will contribute to the overall efficiency of our food service operations, supporting culinary excellence and exceptional guest experiences. Duties Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to efficiently clean dishes, glassware, utensils, and cookware in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, sinks, and storage areas to meet sanitation standards. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup. Support bussing duties by clearing tables promptly and transporting used dishware to the dishwashing station. Follow proper manual handling techniques when lifting heavy loads such as crates or large pots to ensure safety. Adhere strictly to kitchen health and safety standards, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Support the overall sanitation efforts during busy service periods, banquet events, or catering functions to uphold hygiene protocols. Requirements Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; a strong willingness to learn is valued. Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is a plus. Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Physical stamina for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, and manual handling tasks throughout shifts. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and safety standards. Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting culinary staff and hospitality operations. Basic understanding of food handling, catering or banquet experience is advantageous but not essential.
