• Part-time Dinner Service Dishwasher Job Description A dishwasher is a vital back-of-house team member responsible for maintaining sanitation standards, washing and storing all kitchenware, and keeping the dish pit and kitchen areas clean and organized.

They ensure the culinary and wait staff have a steady supply of clean plates, utensils, and cookware to operate efficiently.

Core Responsibilities Dishwashing & Sanitation:

Wash, rinse, and sanitize all plates, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans by hand or using an industrial dishwashing machine.

Storage:

Sort, stack, and safely store clean items in their designated kitchen or serving areas.

Kitchen Maintenance:

Sweep and mop kitchen floors, wipe down stainless steel surfaces, and maintain a clutter-free dish area

Trash & Waste:

Empty garbage cans, replace liners, and break down cardboard boxes throughout the shift. Supporting the

Team:

Assist with unloading food deliveries, stocking workstations, and occasionally aiding with basic food prep or bussing tables.

Key Skills & Qualifications Stamina:

Ability to stand and walk for 8+ hours, and lift/carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
