Job Description

CART ATTENDANT - WILDHAWK GOLF CLUB
Under the supervision of the Assistant Golf Professional, the Cart Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cart rental supply, picking up and cleaning the driving range balls daily; washing, parking and charging the golf carts in the proper manner. The Cart Attendant will act as a customer service representative to the golfers before and after their rounds of golf.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintains the cleanliness of the golf carts. Always Maintains the proper number of golf carts in the rental line. Maintains the daily range ball inventory and basket supplies. Performs opening and closing duties. Performs minor custodial duties such as cleaning the restrooms and taking out the garbage. Greets public and participants, answers questions, provides information or directs them to proper office. Assists the golfers in any way possible. Provides excellent customer service. Assists with the tournament operations and other golf events. Operates golf cart, two-way radios, etc. Communicates effectively and tactfully with the golf participants. Attends and participates in regular staff meetings and in-service trainings as necessary. Follows oral and written instructions. Works harmoniously and cooperatively with fellow employees and the public. Answers questions regarding various programs. Performs administrative tasks, such as completing accident/incident reports. Performs physical labor, lift, carry, push and pull heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) Walk, stand, stoop and crouch for long periods; climb ladders. Performs under various weather conditions.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of and Skilled in: Communications and public relations; golf etiquette, providing great customer service at a golf course, golf course operations, basic math and reading skills.
Ability to:
Understand and follow oral and written instructions; write and speak English at a level to satisfactorily perform the work; write and speak clearly and concisely; work harmoniously and cooperatively with fellow employees and the public; maintain neat and appropriate appearance; make quick and accurate judgment calls; establish and maintain positive relationships with the public and other employees; represent the District in a professional manner. Operate a golf cart safely; efficiently use computers, including word processing, spreadsheet and other software programs to perform job duties.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to perform physical labor, lift, carry, push and pull heavy objects, walk, stand, stoop and crouch for long periods; and climb ladders. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to perform under various weather conditions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Previous experience working at a golf course is desired.
EMPLOYMENT LENGTH
Seasonal and part-time. As a condition of employment, may be required to work unusual hours, weekends and holidays.
COMPENSATION
$16.90 - $17.40 per hour. STATUS Part-time; Non-Exempt. This job specification should not be construed to imply that these requirements are the exclusive standards of the position.
