Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines is seeking a friendly, attentive, and proactive Recreation Attendant with a genuine passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences. As a Recreation Attendant, you'll do more than set up outdoor spaces —you'll help create memorable guest experiences by preparing fire pits and seating, providing attentive food and beverage service, and ensuring guests feel welcomed and well cared for throughout their Sunset experience. You'll play an important role in creating a relaxing, enjoyable, and memorable experience for every guest. A warm, friendly, and professional demeanor with a genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences. Open availability and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with guests and provide attentive, personalized service. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to efficiently set up and maintain fire pits, seating areas, and guest spaces. The ability to provide food and beverage service in a welcoming and professional manner. The ability to remain calm, attentive, and service-focused in a fast-paced outdoor environment. A strong commitment to guest safety, cleanliness, and resort service standards. Previous recreation, hospitality, restaurant, server, or guest service experience is a PLUS! The Recreation Attendant is responsible for delivering an engaging and memorable guest experience during the fire-side s'mores program for hotel and non-hotel guests at the Hilton Torrey Pines. - you're spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest. Here's what you'll do during a typical day: Greet and assist guests: Bring an upbeat and friendly attitude to all guest interactions, respond promptly to requests, and resolve any issues in a friendly, efficient manner Coordinate pool setup: Confirm guest registration and assist with towels, chairs, umbrellas, and recreational equipment Maintain a clean, inviting environment: Clean and maintain pool area, including furniture, showers, cabanas, and other surrounding spaces Manage towel supply: Collect used towels, restock clean ones, and monitor inventory to minimize loss Maintain poolside equipment: Inspect and care for umbrellas, rafts, speakers, and other equipment to ensure safety and functionality Monitor facility usage: Observe pool activity, identify potential hazards, and address or report issues promptly Support recreation operations: Assist with general recreation duties or special activities as needed to enhance the guest experience
