  • Balanced Life Job Summary The Assistant Golf Professional plays a key role in delivering an exceptional, member-focused golf experience at a premier private club.
This position supports all aspects of golf operations while maintaining the highest standards of service, professionalism, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate is driven, service-oriented, and actively pursuing a career within the PGA of America. Responsibilities Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist in the daily management of all golf operations, ensuring seamless execution and elite service standards Supervise and support golf operations and member services staff Help develop, motivate, and lead staff to maintain exceptional service, cleanliness, and professionalism Serve as a key point of contact for members, fostering strong relationships and engagement Assist in tournament operations, leagues, and club events using Golf Genius and related systems Support all aspects of the merchandising cycle, including display, inventory, and sales Maintain a visible presence by interacting and playing golf with members Uphold and maintain personal golf skills at a respectable and competitive level Assist in onboarding and training new staff as directed by the Head Golf Professional Ensure all operations align with club policies, standards, and team principles Communicate effectively with senior golf staff regarding daily operations and member feedback Professional Expectations Maintain a polished, professional appearance consistent with a luxury club environment Demonstrate discretion and confidentiality when interacting with members Exhibit a proactive, "anticipate needs" service mentality Represent the club with integrity both on and off the golf course Qualifications Actively pursuing membership in the PGA Professional Golf Management (PGM) Program Level 1 PGA Associate or Level 1 completed preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Fundamental knowledge of: o The game of golf and Rules of Golf o Golf facility operations o League and tournament operations Understanding of basic supervisory practices and team leadership Excellent written, verbal, and computer communication skills Proficiency in: o Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher) o Golf Genius Tournament Software o GHIN handicap system o Online tee sheet/booking platforms Self-motivated with a strong interest in marketing and promoting the golf program Demonstrates a positive, professional, and service-driven personality Core Competencies Leadership and team development Member service excellence Organization, planning, and prioritization Initiative and accountability Relationship-building with a high-end membership This job posting will close on June 30th 2026 unless filled sooner.
