Location Homestead Full/Part Time Full-Time Exempt from Classified Service No Minimum Rate 35456.81 Min Pay Frequency Yearly Maximum Rate 51698.10 Max Pay Frequency Yearly Regular/Temporary Regular Minimum Qualifications Eighth grade. One year working in the areas of farming, horticulture, landscaping, nursery, or other environmentally similar activity is required. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must possess a driver's license. Familiarity with local endangered plant species, flora & herbicides is highly desired. Recruitment Notes This job requires strenuous physical labor including bending over, lifting and carrying heavy objects, and walking long distances through uneven terrain and in inclement weather such as rain, heat, and cold. The job requires working in deep woods with mosquitoes and other biting insects or spiders, snakes, and other reptiles. This job requires the use and application of chemical herbicides and working with chainsaws and machetes. The job may also require working all day in standing water up to 4 feet deep. The work hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday thru Friday. However, the schedule is subject to change at any time. While this facility is where our offices and supplies are located, staff may be asked to report to different locations throughout the county.
