Job Description

Title Golf Course Cart Attendant Location City of Griffin Description The Golf Cart Attendant supports the Golf Shop Manager and the Assistant Golf Shop Sales & Marketing Manager by helping with outside golf operations. This includes greeting customers, assigning carts, keeping carts clean, and assisting with tournaments. Essential duties include the following. Greets all customers in a warm, friendly, and professional manner in accordance with all facility policies and procedures. Responsible for the daily operations of range ball recovery utilizing both mechanical and hand machinery and equipment. Responsible for the collection of, organization of, and cleanliness of all range baskets used for ball transportation according to policies and procedures established by management. Responsible for washing the range balls to maintain cleanliness and usability. Responsible for cart cleanliness, cart supplies, cart condition, and fueling. As well as the rotation of golf carts to ensure uniform usage amongst the fleet. Responsible for keeping the outside area open, neat, and clean, including arranging carts neatly to avoid clogging the passages. Follows procedures for proper opening and closing of the cart barn and range operations. Inspects the condition of golf carts and all accessories (including but not limited to coolers and sand bottles) with specific attention to their cleanliness and appearance. Assists golf shop personnel in the tournament setup of golf carts and range operations. Assists with keeping all working areas neat and clean, free of trash and waste. Assists in enforcing all course rules and regulations. Refers all problems, issues, and complaints to the manager and/or assistant manager. Tracks and reports on the need for supplies necessary for day-to-day operations for his or her given areas. Ensures all water coolers are clean and full throughout the day. Perform other duties as assigned. Position Requirements Employee must have the visual ability to observe and detect obstacles, other vehicles or equipment, and pedestrians. The employee may be exposed to noise, machinery with moving parts, objects that move, dust, dirt, water and gas; therefore. personal protective equipment is provided and required. All work is performed outdoors in all forms of weather that may be very hot, cold, or wet. Walking, climbing, pushing and lifting will be frequent. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Knowledge of golf course etiquette. Knowledge of basic golf cart operation. Knowledge of cleaning and maintenance of golf equipment. Knowledge of the rules, techniques and equipment related to the game of golf. Ability to work well as an individual and as a team. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have a passion for service. Must present a professional appearance, maintain a positive attitude, and treat others with dignity and respect while responding promptly to golf customers' needs when applicable. Must have clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interpret such information. Must have the ability to manage and prioritize workload effectively while meeting deadlines. Prior experience in customer service preferred. Prior golf course experience preferred.
