Job Description

Front Desk Attendant - Sachs Recreation Center At Deerfield Park District, we are dedicated to providing outstanding parks, services, facilities, and recreation programs that enrich lives, promote healthy living, and create memorable experiences. We are hiring for:
Part-Time :
Shifts available : Monday and Wednesday nights 5pm-9pm (close)
Pay Rate:
$16.00/hr. +
DOQ Essential Functions:
Responds to inquiries including, but not limited to, programs, services, procedures, membership, and rules. Responds to concerns and requests from members, residents, and guests with a sense of urgency and takes the necessary corrective action including follow up. Answers telephones in a professional, courteous manner. Processes membership applications. Handles money transactions. Controls access to the Sachs Recreation Center to authorized members and visitors. Conducts tours of the Sachs Recreation Center to prospective customers. Distribute towels and locker room keys to authorized members and guests. Maintains the front desk area, presenting a neat, clean, professional environment. Provides general administrative duties such as typing, filing, and copying. Actively and constantly markets and promotes the Sachs Recreation Center to attract potential members and participants. Assists management in enforcing policies and procedures for the Sachs Recreation Center. Represents the Deerfield Park District at all times professionally, courteously, and enthusiastically.
Requirements:
Must be a minimum of 16 years of age. Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, coupled with strong communication skills and the ability to represent the Deerfield Park District professionally. Enjoys working as part of a team. Appreciates the need for safety and cleanliness. The Front Desk Attendant is responsible for being aware of and contributing to maintaining and implementing all Deerfield Park District safety policies and procedures.

Use good safety awareness and judgment Follow policies Report potentially unsafe conditions Follow manufacturer safety instructions when using equipment Follow agency ergonomic policies and procedure
Wage Range:
$16 - $19, starting pay at the base of range.
