Location:

Prieto Community Center Hours and days for this position will vary depending on assignment.

Nature of Work:

This position performs work under the direction of the Prieto Office Coordinator or designee. Work includes oversight of recreation programming and services at Prieto Community Center including the drop-in play space, open gym times, and others. Tasks include setting up and breaking down of items in programming spaces and resetting the items for participant use, cleaning programming areas, and completion of safety checks for spaces and equipment. The Rec Attendant is expected to engage with participants and provide a safe, beneficial experience.

Qualifications:

Must be 16 years of age or older Must have a strong level of safety awareness Must be highly motivated and enthusiastic in order to contribute to quality experiences for our customers Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug/alcohol screen

Essential Functions:

Ensure safe use of programming spaces and equipment Set up and break down recreation items Maintain, organize, and clean the recreational items within the community center Ensure that programming spaces are clean and orderly Provide excellent customer service and engagement with customers, addressing concerns and complaints in a professional, helpful manner Apply instructions for the safe operation of programming and equipment Establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and the public Report any accidents, injuries, equipment malfunctions, customer needs and potential improvements in the facility or services to management Complete and submit all required paperwork in an accurate and timely fashion (i.e. timesheets, incident reports, daily work logs, etc.) Perform other duties as assigned

Rate:

Starting at $17.00/hour

Schedule:

This is a seasonal position that includes a varying number of weeks during the fall, winter, spring, and/or summer. A predetermined schedule based on programming needs will be provided prior to the season beginning. Total hours per season varies based on assignment.
