The Bag Attendant often provides the first point of contact for golf guests and is responsible for creating an excellent first impression. S/he is responsible for assisting golfers with their clubs, upkeep and cleanliness of the golf carts, as well as providing guests with directions to golf related areas. The Bag Attendant shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. S/he will be responsible for exemplifying the Oak Brook Hills Resort Culture as well as promoting Oak Brook Hills Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice! Essential jobFUNCTIONS
Associate is held accountable for all duties of this job and other duties as assigned.- Greets and welcomes guests upon arrival
- Unload clubs, cleans and places in bag drop area or on cart
- Wipes down clubs and loads them into their cars once guests are finished
- Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests including use of guest name & good eye contact with each guest
- Engage guests in conversation regarding their stay, round of golf and overall property experiences
- Address guests service needs in a professional, positive and timely manner
- Assist other associates to ensure proper coverage and prompt guest service
- Cleans carts when guest return
- Checks carts for damages, if damaged, reports immediately to Golf Shop
- Ensures all carts are accounted for and plugged in prior to leaving for the day
- Keeps bag drop and cart staging area clean at all times
- Washes practice golf balls, cleans practice mats and surrounding practice net area
- Cleans and organizes rental clubs, reports any missing or damaged clubs immediately to Supervisor
- Keeps bag room, storage buildings organized and clean at all times
- Communicates tee sheet changes to all outside service staff
- Continually supplies carts to the staging area, ensuring all carts are clean, have a pencil, scorecard, cart towel and filled sand container
- Contacts Golf Shop, if necessary, when a guest problem is reported
- Provides general resort information for guests
- Resolves guest problems and is empowered to act in absence of manager
- Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events
- Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information
- Up sells other resort services and amenities to guests
- Always maintains a professional demeanor and attitude
- Communicates all pertinent information to the golf team
- Maintains constant awareness of safety issues, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons). Reports all safety incidents to on-duty supervisor.
- Acts with responsibility towards all company property, supplies and equipment.
- Maintains a professional appearance. Follows all Oak Brook Hills dress code standards.

XPERIENCE
& eDUCATION
- Prior hospitality experience preferred
- At least one year customer service experience preferred
- Knowledge of the game of golf preferred Job
REQUIRMENTS
- Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
- Valid Driver's License
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Must be able to work well under pressure
- Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written
- Must be highly detailed orientated

CONDITIONS
Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, cold, sun & heat); Must be able to stand & walk throughout the day, including on uneven surfaces; Must be able to frequently lift, push, pull & carry up to 20 lbs and occasionally up to 75 lbs;- Must be able to bend, squat, & twist on an occasional basis
- Must be able to perform simple grasping, squeezing, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently; and fine manipulation occasionally.
