Fitness Attendant Evenings & Weekends Open until filled Job Type Part Time Package Starting at $14.81/hour with a free membership to the Community Center Position Description Fitness-Attendant.pdf (PDF, 437KB) The City of Merriam Parks and Recreation Department is seeking an energetic, self-motivated Fitness Attendant. The qualified applicant will be responsible for Monitors the fitness floor; provides guest assistance on the use of equipment; enforces facility policies; cleans and inspects equipment for repair; assists with light maintenance duties; prepares rooms for programs and rentals; assists with special events as requested. Typical hours (approximately 10-20 hrs./week) would be: Mon - Thurs 4-9 p.m., Friday 4-8 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m.-1 p.m. or 1 p.m.-6 p.m. (8 p.m. Memorial Day -Labor Day) and Sunday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. or 2 p.m.-6 p.m. However applicants should have after-hours availability until midnight for rental purposes Friday and Saturday evenings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 16 years old; Knowledge/experience using a variety of fitness equipment; Ability to follow and carry out instructions; Good communication skills; Knowledge of personal computers and windows- based software
