The Usher provides direct customer-focused guest services to patrons of the facility.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
[Customer Focus]- 30% The Usher is primarily responsible for ensuring that guests and patrons of the Touhill are met with courteous and attentive service whether assisting in wayfinding, welcoming patrons to the facility, or wishing guests a good night. The Usher is the individual utilized in fulfilling the Touhill's mission of being a "welcoming place". [Event Support]
- 30% Pleasantly directing patrons to amenities and seating. Handing out programs or other materials on behalf of the client to patrons. Enforcing Touhill policies regarding proper theater decorum, seating issues, and disruptive patrons while maintaining a welcoming and friendly demeanor. [Emergency Reporting and Response]
- 25% Remaining vigilant for any emergent issue (such as hazards, suspicious activity or items, or that may arise, seeking the safety and security of patrons and guests as priority. Reporting observed issues to House Managers for resolution if warranted. Executing public safety procedures when necessary and directed by the House Manager. [Training]
- 5% Completing University-mandated training as required.
