Job Description

About us: Nestled along the banks of the Haw River, the Valley Golf Course (formally known as Indian Valley) offers the avid golfer a fair test of their golf game. The 18-hole Ellis Maples par 70 course is owned and operated by the City of Burlington and is available for regular and tournament play. Juniors and seniors are welcome.
What you will do:
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job with or without constant supervision .
Guest Assistance and Service:
Provide exceptional personal service to guests, assisting them in preparing for their round of golf, lessons, practice, or any other golf-related activity.
Ambassador Role:
Serve as an "ambassador" for The Valley, greeting guests upon arrival and assisting them as they exit, ensuring a welcoming and positive experience.
Golf Cart Management:
Ensure the availability of golf carts in the staging areas for use by golfers and make certain they are properly charged and ready for use.
Golf Cart Fleet Maintenance:
Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the golf cart fleet, ensuring they are in top condition for guests.
Practice Area Support:
Maintain the practice areas by retrieving balls and baskets when needed to ensure a smooth experience for golfers.
Golf Shop Assistance:
Assist the golf professional staff in the golf shop as needed, offering support with day-to-day operations.
Course Rules Enforcement :
Report any violations of the Rules and Regulations of the course, such as course etiquette and golfing rules, to the golf shop.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
Perform cleaning duties as outlined in the checklist, ensuring that all areas are tidy and presentable.
Teamwork and Collaboration:
Work effectively with others as a team player, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Task Management:
Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently, follow daily procedures, and complete all necessary assignments on time.
Other Duties:
Perform additional tasks as requested by management, contributing to the overall success of the facility.
