Job Description

Director, Social Media A leading entertainment studio is seeking a Director, Social Media to lead strategy, planning, and execution across high-impact social channels. This role is designed for a senior social leader who brings both big-picture brand thinking and hands-on campaign leadership, with strong experience in entertainment, television, and audience growth. The Director will oversee the social media vision for the brand, shaping platform strategy, content direction, campaign development, and performance optimization. This person will work cross-functionally with internal brand, creative, production, marketing, and leadership teams to ensure social initiatives support broader business goals, audience engagement, and franchise growth. Key Responsibilities Lead overall social media strategy across channels. Build audience-first campaigns that strengthen brand presence, engagement, and cultural relevance. Manage editorial direction, content planning, publishing workflows, and platform best practices. Partner with creative, marketing, production, and leadership teams on launches, programming support, promotional beats, and always-on brand storytelling. Translate performance data into actionable recommendations that improve reach, engagement, and campaign effectiveness. Guide social execution from concept through launch, ensuring brand consistency and high-quality delivery. Manage agency and cross-functional partners as needed. Identify emerging trends, platform shifts, and new opportunities within entertainment and digital culture. Qualifications 8+ years experience in social media leadership within entertainment, media, or television environments. Strong background in both strategic planning and day-to-day execution. Proven success leading brand campaigns, content launches, and audience engagement initiatives. Strong understanding of platform strategy, social analytics, content development, and production workflow. Able to operate at both leadership and execution levels. Experienced partnering across Creative, Brand, Marketing, Production, Communications, and Executive teams. Strong judgment, communication, and project management skills.
