Job Description
Orangeburg Country Club is seeking a dynamic, energetic, and team-oriented individual for its golf retail operations. The ideal candidate will offer strong, interpersonal engagement in member and guest relations, and provide a hospitable retail experience at OCC. The Golf Shop Attendant will report directly to the PGA Head Golf Professional. Associates include the Lead Assistant, and Golf Services Team.
Education and experience:
Golf knowledge preferred but not required.- Proficiency and knowledgeable in Microsoft Office - specifically Excel, Word, Google Chrome, - and POS operations
Daily Responsibilities:
Utilize golf professional staff, including Assistant Golf Professional, in daily merchandising activities.- Maintain, rotate and change displays with an exceptional appearance. Ensure the golf shop is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
- Maintain excellent member relations
- Understand club operations to assist members with questions.
- Assist the golf operation by serving at the golf shop counter.
- Utilize Club Essential POS system and tee time reservation system
- Monitor and manage merchandise by restocking as needed.
- Perform other duties as designated by the Head Golf Professional.
Physical Requirements:
Work well in high-pressure, multi-tasking situations. Effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary. Must be able to work and understand basic math and money functions. Ability to communicate verbally with membership and staff, individually and in groups. Hearing and vision within normal ranges. Good manual dexterity and use of a computer keyboard, telephone for email and communication and other office equipment. Standing, stooping, lifting, reaching, push/pull, carrying, exertion of up to 25 lbs.Note:
