JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Soft Goods Technician to join our team. This is a perfect position for makers of all kinds. The ideal candidate has a broad skill set, a creative mind, is self-motivated, works well with a team, and can switch between projects with ease. ADKS is seeking candidates with experience in prop making, sewing, and basic carpentry. Multiple positions immediately available.RESPONSIBILITIES
Skill with industrial sewing tools and ability to sew accurately, quickly, and with an artistic flair Sewing-related problem-solving skills to measure, cut, create, sew, repair, and alter large-scale stage curtains, backdrops, cycloramas, travelers, and acoustic drapes Knowledge of industrial sewing machinery and cutting tools to stitch oversized fabrics like velour, muslin, and heavy blackout liners Using hand tools to repair, create, build, age, or refurbish props where necessary to meet the requirements of the client Analyzing and interpreting concept drawings, images, and/or inspirational narratives Take directions from managers for the interpretation of conceptual/creative drawings for prop and sculptural creations Assemble parts to blueprint specifications/work instructions Perform basic math and cutting Document products and materials used/applied Perform routine equipment maintenance and cleanup Perform other duties as assigned.EXPERIENCE
Experience with operating Juki brand machinery is a plus Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity required Ability to work varied shifts, including occasional evenings and weekends.BENEFITS INCLUDE
