Job Description

This is accomplished by providing assistance with recreation programs and events; overseeing activity desks; responding to requests and inquiries; and taking payments for activities. Other duties include setting up and tearing down tables and chairs for events. Provides information to the public by answering the phone and responding to requests; and posting information on activities and programs; Assists with programs and events by registering patrons for classes and events; entering or documenting registrations; setting up equipment or supplies; completing cleanup activities; and checking out and ensuring equipment is returned; Ensures equipment inventories are complete by distributing and checking out games, balls, mats, and related supplies; documenting check out and return; and ensuring all equipment is used safely; Monitors payments by accepting payments for registrations and events; documenting or entering payments; providing change; preparing receipts and cash reports; and securing all receipts and payments for processing; Performs other assigned duties. Minimum age of 16 Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with co-workers, the public, and elected and appointed officials. Ability to operate cash registers and balance monies.
