PRO SHOP ATTENDANT
Job Description Sand Hollow Resort is a premier destination to Escape. Play. Discover. Relax. One of Southern Utah's top-ranked golf destinations, our golf course is ranked #42 out of the 100 top resort golf courses. The resort features over 180 units, ranging from 1 to 6 bedrooms, for guests to relax in during their stay. We are seeking members with proven ability to deliver the highest-quality customer service and to create a positive environment for our guests and staff. We are seeking one full-time position, and two part-time positions. The Pro Shop Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional customer service at Sand Hollow Resort's Pro Shop, ensuring a positive, memorable experience for our guests. This includes assisting with retail sales, managing inventory, renting golf or recreational equipment, and providing information about resort amenities and activities. The ideal candidate will have a friendly, approachable demeanor, a strong work ethic, and a passion for the resort industry.
Responsibilities:
  • Greet guests and provide them with information regarding the resort's golf course, activities, and amenities.
  • Assist guests with the selection and purchase of golf equipment, apparel, and accessories.
  • Maintain an organized and clean pro shop, ensuring all products are correctly displayed and labeled.
  • Manage rental equipment, including clubs, carts, and other recreational gear, ensuring that items are in good working order and available for guests.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit, and debit payments.
  • Assist in tracking inventory, ensuring stock levels are maintained and reorders are placed when necessary.
  • Coordinate with the golf course or recreation staff to ensure guest satisfaction, including helping to schedule tee times or recreational activities.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring issues are resolved promptly.
  • Maintain knowledge of current sales, promotions, and inventory, staying up to date with new products.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures of the Pro Shop.
  • Ensure that all equipment rentals are properly logged and returned on time.

Pro Shop Manager Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree or coursework in hospitality, recreation, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in retail or customer service, preferably in a resort or golf setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Basic knowledge of golf equipment, apparel, and terminology is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and handle multiple guest requests at once
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts.
  • Proficiency in basic computer systems, POS systems, and cash handling.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk around the Pro Shop
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 25 pounds.
Job Type:
One (1) Full-time AND two (2) Part-time positions
Pay:
$13 - $16
Pay:
$13.00 - $16.00 per hour
