Job Description
Utah Valley University is seeking a student to assist the UCCU Events Center. Guest Service Student Employees must be prepared to work in an exciting and fast-paced environment. Joining the Event Center team at UVU means exposing yourself to some of the best concerts, shows, athletics, expos, and parties in Utah Valley. As a staff member of Utah County's premier event center, you join us in ensuring a positive, safe experience for our hundreds of thousands of patrons annually. Guest Service Ushers contribute to the successful execution of events by ensuring the safety of guests and compliance with campus, state, and industry protocols. Verifying correct tickets, helping patrons locate seats, providing information on events, assists in parking areas, clearing arena, making lasting positive relationships, and other duties as assigned are all crucial daily activities for Event Ushers. Current UVU Student Graduation with a high school diploma or GED. Problem-solving skills. Interpersonal verbal communication and decision-making skills. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to follow written and verbal procedures. Ability to meet and work with people of diverse backgrounds. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Able to be attentive to, aware of, and available to assist patrons.
