Job Description
High school or GED preferred; some college courseworkand/or directly related experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Working knowledge of recreation activities; of rules of play, equipment, and techniques of various sports and recreational activities. Ability to follow oral and written instructions; to communicate effectively; to interact with a variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds and of varying ages; to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers. We have a great opportunity for you! River City Sportsplex is a 115-acre, multi-sport athletic complex with one of the largest collections of synthetic turf fields in the United States. Our state-of-the-art facility features multiple lighted synthetic athletic fields available for year-round use by residents and tournament participants for soccer, lacrosse, field hockey and many other sports. Under general supervision, the Operations/Event staff duties include but are not limited to, monitoring rentals, specials events and tournaments at the complex, moving goals according to field rentals schedule, provide parking assistance when needed; responsible for trash removal and the overall cleanliness of the facility including restrooms; provide customer service to event attendees and event staff; performing light maintenance on fencing, and goal netting; responsible for the proper opening and/or closing procedures of River City Sportsplex. Perform assigned assessment reports of facility, fields and equipment when assigned. Perform other work as required. Shifts vary to include evenings, weekends, and some holidays Parks and Recreation
