Responsible for maintaining the appearance of the pool area to hotel standards at all times. Monitors all activity on the pool deck, enforces pool rules, maintains sale of retail items and provides assistance to guests as needed. Maintain cleanliness of the pool deck area in addition to providing assistance to hotel guests at the pool following check-in at the pool counter. Remains alert to all activity occurring within their assigned section of the pool area throughout their shift. Treats customers with courtesy and respect at all times. Notifies the manager immediately of any problems at the pool requiring any extra ordinary attention (i.e., guest injury, guest employee conflict, etc.). Ensures all guests follow pool rules (i.e., diving board safety, running, horseplay, etc.). Place towels and chairs in desired locations in the pool area for guests Take in all chairs at the end of the day (stack and cover with the tarp). Stock pool registration counter with all needed supplies (i.e., folded towels, receipts, log sheets, etc.). Stock, replenish and manage sale of pool retail items. Clean all brass and metal rails in the pool area. Sweep the pool area (clearing all debris) as needed. Collect all used items and dispose of properly, (i.e., cups and paper items in the trash, towels in used towel carts, etc.). Change pool status sign (open at the beginning of the day and close at the end of the day). Assist technician in keeping appearance of the pools up to hotel standards. Receive hotel guests at the pool counter, distribute towels and facilitate lotion sales as needed. Additional related duties as requested by the pool manager or supervisor.
