Club Manager About Phoenix Mahjong Club Phoenix Mahjong Club is Phoenix's premier destination for mahjong players of all skill levels, offering open play, lessons, workshops, private events, and a curated retail boutique — all within a warm, inclusive community environment. Position Summary The Club Manager reports directly to the owner and oversees all daily club operations. This is a part-time role averaging 30 hours per week. Compensation is negotiable based on experience. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations including opening/closing procedures, prep, and end-of-day cleanup
• Manage, schedule, and supervise club staff; maintain a positive team environment
• Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming experience for all members and guests
• Facilitate open play, coordinate lessons and workshops, and support instructor needs
• Manage private and corporate event bookings, logistics, setup, and execution
• Oversee food, beverage, and supply inventory; coordinate restocking as needed
• Manage retail boutique displays, sales, and inventory
• Oversee club social media accounts and coordinate content aligned with the club brand
• Handle administrative tasks including attendance tracking, membership support, and POS transactions
• Communicate regularly with ownership on operations, issues, and improvement opportunities Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
• Background in restaurant, retail, or hospitality strongly preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
• Experience supervising staff and managing competing priorities
• Familiarity with social media, POS systems, and event coordination
