This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys working with people, building a strong team, driving membership growth, and creating a great experience for our members. The ideal candidate is a strong salesperson and leader who is comfortable holding a team accountable, jumping in wherever needed, and helping grow the business.

North San Jose / Berryessa, CA 95132 Key Responsibilities Sales & Membership Growth Lead the gym's membership sales efforts and consistently work toward monthly sales goals Follow up with leads through phone calls, texts, social media, and in-person conversations Conduct facility tours and consultations with prospective members Convert trials, challenges, and walk-ins into memberships Train and coach staff on sales techniques, lead follow-up, and member retention Track sales activity, conversions, and overall performance Help develop promotions, referral programs, and other initiatives to drive new memberships Build relationships with current members to improve retention and identify sales opportunities Team Leadership & Management Lead, motivate, and manage front desk staff and trainers Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable for performance Conduct regular team meetings, coaching, and performance check-ins Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new employees Create a positive, high-energy, team-oriented culture Address employee and member concerns professionally and promptly Be willing to step into front desk, sales, or fitness operations when needed Scheduling & Gym Operations Create and manage employee schedules to ensure proper coverage Coordinate trainer and class schedules Manage call-outs, schedule changes, and staffing needs Oversee opening/closing procedures and overall facility operations Ensure the gym is clean, organized, welcoming, and operating efficiently Help ensure policies and procedures are consistently followed Member Experience & Nutrition Build relationships with members and help create a strong sense of community Help organize member events, challenges, and engagement activities Coordinate and lead general nutrition seminars and educational sessions within the scope of the Director's qualifications Help members understand the gym's programs, resources, and services Work with the team to improve member satisfaction and retention Qualifications Previous experience in sales, management, fitness, hospitality, or a customer-facing leadership role Strong sales ability with a results-oriented mindset Experience managing and motivating a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Organized and comfortable managing schedules and multiple priorities Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment Reliable, professional, and willing to lead by example Passion for fitness, health, and helping people reach their goals Preferred, But Not Required Spanish-speaking / bilingual Personal Training or Group Fitness Certification Previous gym or fitness studio experience Previous membership or recurring-service sales experience Experience leading nutrition or wellness education What We're Looking For We're looking for more than someone who simply keeps the gym running.
