Job Summary:
Under general supervision, the floor coverage manager ensures the club is clean, safe, and efficiently and properly operated in all departments throughout the day. This may include early morning hours during club opening, and evenings during club closing. The floor coverage manager will address any gaps the departments may have during their shift. In addition, they will ensure the club meets or exceeds Club Sport's and IHRSA standards for cleanliness, safety, and member service.
Duties/Responsibilities :
Ensure that club is opened properly, according to club standards/policies; submit completed checklists to Assistant General Manager Acts as general "on-the-floor" supervision of all early morning staff and night crew. Ensure that all club departments are properly staffed and operate according to club standards. Handle all member and or employee incidents, accidents, or problems. May coordinate responses during an emergency event and coordinate with appropriate parties: loss of electricity; fire and/or fire alarms; earthquake; other natural disasters; major injury / illness of member or staff; club equipment breakdown; etc. Ensure that all housekeeping staff complete checklists and that the Club meets all cleanliness and safety standards. Ensure that all point-of-sale registers are well-stocked with change; ensure drops are completed at the end of each shift. Be responsible for the club's master key(s) and the walkie talkie. Cover breaks in any department where required. Reallocate staff between departments where necessary. May give club tours and administer guest passes to prospective members following sales protocols. Handle lost and found items and claims; ensure secure storage. Practice energy conservation (i.e., ensuring lights are off when not in use) Check pool and spa chemical readings at prescribed intervals; adjust as necessary and report to Club Management Complete any projects as assigned by the management team. Communicate to department managers any problems or issues handled in their absence via daily report.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Customer Service Obsession with excellent interpersonal skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Time management and organizational skills
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. 2 plus years related experience in direct field. Current CPR certification
Physical Requirements:
Standing and walking for prolonged period Must be observant to all member activities and surroundings with a keen eye, prepared for any emergency response. Walking, kneeling, bending Lifting and carrying (up to 50 lbs.) Set-up and take-down of light equipment. Climbing stairs and ladders Working with chemicals and other potentially hazardous materials
