Reporting to the Recreation Director, this role provides leadership to the Pool Club Manager, Teen & Lifeguard Manager, and Program & Camp Manager. The Recreation Manager ensures each recreation area operates smoothly and upholds Forbes-level service, safety, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction. This role also manages financial performance, team development, program execution, and interdepartmental communication across all recreation offerings. Essential Functions Supervise the Pool Club Manager, Teen & Lifeguard Manager, and Program & Camp Manager to ensure consistency across all recreation areas. Develop and implement policies and procedures that align with company standards and enhance guest satisfaction. Maintain safety, cleanliness, and facility standards across pools, youth programs, and recreational venues. Conduct regular team meetings, trainings, and performance evaluations to support team member growth and retention. Create and manage schedules, monitor labor, and control expenses to achieve financial goals. Review financial reports and monitor P&L, ensuring responsible spending and accurate forecasting. Liaise with all internal departments — including Engineering, F&B, Events, and Marketing — to coordinate seamless operations and guest experiences. Respond to guest and member inquiries promptly, ensuring prompt issue resolution and high guest satisfaction. Prepare reports and updates for the Recreation Director as assigned. Attend required divisional and company-wide meetings. Internal Relationships Reports to the Recreation Director. Oversees Pool Club Manager, Program & Camp Manager, and Teen & Lifeguard Manager. Partners closely with Engineering, Food & Beverage, Events, Stewarding, Marketing, and other resort departments. External Relationships Has regular contact with Members, Guests, Vendors, and Entertainment Partners to enhance the recreation experience. Qualifications and Education/Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Hospitality, Sports Administration, or related field preferred. 3-5 years of progressive leadership and supervisory experience in recreation, aquatics, luxury resorts, or clubs. Proven ability to manage large teams across multiple venues and shifts. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control. CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certifications preferred or willingness to obtain. Strong computer skills and proficiency in recreation and scheduling software. Must be fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus. Physical Requirements Must be able to work outdoors and indoors for long periods. Requires frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), pushing/pulling carts or equipment up to 250 lbs., bending, and reaching.
