Duties Assist the Gym Manager in overseeing daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, shift management, and ensuring smooth facility functioning Supervise staff members, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a motivated and professional team Manage guest services by addressing member inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and enhancing overall customer satisfaction Coordinate events and fitness programs to promote member engagement and community building Monitor operational aspects such as budgeting, cash handling, inventory management, and equipment maintenance Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by conducting regular inspections and maintaining first aid and CPR certifications Prepare detailed reports on operational performance, incident logs, and staff schedules to inform managerial decision-making Requirements Proven experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within a gym, fitness center, or event venue environment Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and communicate clearly at all levels Demonstrated expertise in operations management, including shift coordination, budgeting, and customer service excellence Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for report writing, scheduling, and data analysis Experience in events management to organize classes, workshops, or special activities that boost member engagement Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on guest services and hospitality standards Knowledge of technical proficiency related to gym equipment maintenance and safety protocols Supervising experience with staff supervision responsibilities is essential First aid and CPR certification is required or must be obtained upon hire Ability to make sound managerial decisions quickly while maintaining operational efficiency Previous assistant manager experience in a similar setting is highly desirable Join us as an Assistant Gym Manager where your energy drives success!
