Summary:
Power Wellness, part of The Sports Facilities Companies, is seeking an experienced Fitness Center Director to lead a premier health and fitness center on the East Coast. As a leader in medical fitness center management, Power Wellness combines specialized health and wellness expertise with the national resources and industry leadership of The Sports Facilities Companies. The Fitness Center Director provides strategic and operational leadership for the center, including team development, financial performance, programming, membership growth, safety and member experience. This leader will collaborate with Power Wellness and client partners to deliver exceptional services that improve the health and well-being of the community.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach and support the center's management team and team members.
- Oversee daily operations, programming and the overall member experience.
- Manage operating and capital budgets and monitor financial performance.
- Develop strategies to increase membership, retention and community engagement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, employment practices and safety standards.
- Partner with Human Resources on staffing, performance management and team development.
- Maintain emergency-response procedures, training and safety protocols.
- Represent the center at community, corporate and healthcare-related events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in exercise science, healthcare, fitness, wellness, business or a related field required; master's degree preferred.
- At least three years of management experience.
- Experience with budgeting, team development, marketing, membership sales or wellness programming preferred.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities and achieve operational goals.
- Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building and decision-making skills.
- CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of hire; training is provided.
