As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping and executing the technical aspects of our theatrical productions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is dedicated to fostering creativity, collaboration, and excellence in high school theatre.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the director to bring theatrical visions to life through technical execution. Oversee all technical aspects of productions, including lighting, sound, set design, construction, and stage management. Manage and maintain theatre equipment, ensuring it is in proper working condition and safe for use. Recruit, train, and supervise student crews for various technical roles, providing mentorship and guidance. Coordinate with administration, faculty, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operation of theatrical events and performances. Compile and submit requisitions for any supplies related to technical aspects of the shows. Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and personal growth among students and staff.Qualifications:
Previous experience working in technical theatre, preferably in a high school or educational setting. Proficiency with theatre technology, including lighting consoles, sound systems,sowing machines, and scenic construction techniques. Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Experience working collaboratively with diverse teams and individuals. Commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive environment for all participants in the theatrical process.Schedule:
This is a part-time position with responsibilities both during and outside of regular school hours, including evenings and weekends during production seasons as decided upon by the directors.
