This dynamic role involves managing staff, ensuring guest safety, maintaining operational excellence, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in pool and event management, and a passion for hospitality and customer service. As a key team leader, you will drive team performance, uphold safety standards, and coordinate various events at the pool venue to create memorable summer experiences for our guests. Facility Operations Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pool. Ensure the facility opens and closes safely each day. Complete routine facility inspections and address maintenance or safety concerns. Communicate facility needs and repairs with the Pool Board. Monitor pool chemistry, equipment, and overall facility readiness. Maintain and clean filtration systems. Vacuum and clean pool. Staff Leadership & Supervision Hire, train, and supervise lifeguards Create weekly staff schedules and ensure all shifts are covered. Manage shift swaps and staffing for special events. Lead in-service trainings and staff meetings. Provide feedback, support, and coaching to staff. Address employee concerns and enforce policies. Time Tracking and Payroll Management. Safety & Risk Management Ensure the pool follows all health and safety regulations. Train staff on emergency procedures and safety protocols. Respond to emergencies, incidents, and member concerns. Complete accident and incident reports. Monitor lifeguard performance to maintain a safe environment. Customer Service & Communication Serve as the main point of contact for members and guests. Answer questions and resolve concerns in a timely manner. Communicate weather closures, schedule changes, and facility updates. Send weekly emails to members with pool news, events, and reminders. Administrative Responsibilities Complete hiring paperwork, payroll, and employee records. Maintain staff certifications and training documentation. Track attendance and staffing needs. Coordinate registrations for swim lessons, rentals, and special events. Handle daily cash deposits and operational paperwork. Events & Programming Coordinate pool rentals, swim lessons, and community events. Ensure events are properly staffed and set up. Communicate with renters about scheduling, policies, and event details. Inventory & Supplies Keep cleaning supplies, first aid items, concessions, and pool supplies stocked. Order supplies as needed. Ensure all safety equipment is available and in working order. Required Skills & Qualifications
- Aquatic Safety Knowledge — CPR/AED, First Aid, and lifeguard certification required
- Pool Operator Certification required or obtained shortly after hire
- Pennsylvania Pesticide Applicator License required or obtained shortly after hire Schedule and working hours
- Expectation of 40-45 hours per week as a salaried employee; between May 1st and September 30th.
