Job Description

Job Overview:
The Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of a premium, membership-focused pickleball club. This person will be responsible for driving member engagement, maintaining facility standards, managing staff, and delivering a superior customer experience. The OM will play a crucial role in growing the club's membership base, fostering a strong pickleball community, and ensuring that the club remains a premier destination for both recreational and competitive players. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, people-first environment and takes pride in operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
Oversee daily operations of the club, ensuring a seamless experience for all members and guests. Manage all club staff, including court attendants, pros, bar staff, and administrative personnel. Maintain high standards for cleanliness, safety, and facility upkeep. Ensure high in-person and online reputation Monitor court usage and manage scheduling to optimize member experience and facility efficiency.
Membership Growth & Retention:
Drive membership sales through outreach, events, and partnerships. Develop and execute retention strategies, ensuring a high level of member satisfaction. Maintain strong relationships with members and create a welcoming atmosphere for all.
Staff Development:
Hire, train, and manage a high-performing team. Foster a positive work environment with clear communication and strong leadership. Conduct regular staff meetings and performance evaluations to ensure team goals are met.
Community Engagement & Events:
Organize and promote events, leagues, and tournaments to build a vibrant pickleball community. Engage with local businesses, pickleball organizations, and influencers to promote the club and enhance visibility. Develop a social media and marketing presence to drive membership interest and engagement.
Financial Oversight:
Manage the club's budget, including expenses, payroll, and revenue targets. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as membership growth, retention rates, and financial performance. Collaborate with the executive team to ensure the club's financial health and sustainability.
Bar & Amenities Oversight:
Ensure the bar and other exclusive amenities are consistently delivering a premium experience. Monitor inventory and manage vendor relationships to maintain high service standards.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a management role, preferably in a membership-driven or hospitality environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Strong familiarity with pickleball and other sports clubs Requires any alcohol handling certifications and experience Requires any food handling certifications and experience Ability to manage budgets, analyze performance data, and meet financial goals. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive salary based on experience: $40,000-$50,000 Performance-based bonuses. PTO, and additional perks.
