Full Job Description About Us:

We are a private gym located in the Bellaire/S. rice area about 5-7 minutes from the galleria.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a motivated and customer-oriented Gym Assistant to join our team. The Gym Assistant will be responsible for maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, assisting members with equipment use, assisting & checking members into our group fitness studio and providing excellent customer service. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about fitness and eager to help others achieve their health and wellness goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet members and guests, ensuring a friendly and welcoming environment. Provide information about gym services, memberships, and promotions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workout areas, locker rooms, and common spaces. Assist members with following our check in system for both the training area & group fitness studio. Monitor and enforce gym policies and procedures. Restock supplies, such as towels, sanitizing wipes, and water stations. Assist in scheduling and coordinating fitness classes or personal training sessions. Handle minor maintenance tasks and report any facility issues to management. Support marketing efforts by promoting gym programs and events. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Previous experience in a gym, fitness center, or customer service role is a plus. Basic knowledge of fitness equipment and exercises. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Enthusiastic, friendly, and professional demeanor. CPR and First Aid certification (preferred but not required).
