Requirements:
45 Hour Work Week Minimum Emerald City Athletics is expanding, and we are seeking a driven, sales-focused fitness professional to join our team as an Assistant Fitness Director . This role supports our Personal Training Department with a strong focus on weekend operations, personal training sales, trainer development, and delivering an exceptional member experience. In this leadership-track position, you will maintain your own roster of clients, deliver high-quality training sessions, and meet personal monthly sales and production quotas. You will work directly under the Fitness Director and be developed for future advancement as our company continues to grow. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Support Support the Fitness Director in coaching, developing, and mentoring the personal training team. Assist with onboarding new trainers and helping them succeed. Lead by example through strong training skills, professionalism, and high personal accountability. Help maintain a high-performance culture built on excellence, integrity, and member results. Personal Training & Client Management Maintain a personal roster of clients and deliver high-quality 1-on-1 training sessions. Conduct assessments, develop training programs, and manage client progress. Represent the standard for training excellence that the department is expected to follow. Manage client communication, scheduling, retention, and overall satisfaction. Sales & Business Growth Meet and exceed monthly personal sales quotas (required). Conduct fitness consultations and close personal training packages. Support trainers in improving sales effectiveness, follow-up, and conversions. Participate in weekend outreach, lead follow-up, and new member orientations. Operations & Member Experience Oversee weekend PT operations to ensure smooth and consistent execution. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional facility environment. Provide excellent member service through proactive communication and problem-solving. Support member retention through high-quality service and consistent engagement. Requirements Proven sales experience (fitness, membership, or service-based preferred). Ability to meet monthly sales and production quotas . Minimum 1 year of experience as a certified personal trainer. Current CPT (NASM, ACE, ACSM, ISSA, or equivalent). CPR/AED certified. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Self-starter with high personal accountability. Weekend availability required. Preferred Qualifications Experience coaching or mentoring other trainers. Background in personal training sales or high-ticket service sales. Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field. Experience using fitness CRM or scheduling software. Why Join Emerald City Athletics?
