Job Description
The YMCA of the Chippewa Valley is seeking an energetic, people-focused Aquatics Director to lead our year-round aquatic programs at the Chippewa Falls YMCA and our seasonal operations at the beautiful Bernard F. Willi Outdoor Pool . Whether you're teaching a child to swim for the first time, cheering on our Barracuda Swim Team, developing staff, or helping families create lifelong memories at the pool, every day brings something new. Why You'll Love This Job Lead exciting swim lessons and water safety programs Manage both an indoor YMCA pool and a community outdoor pool Oversee the YMCA Barracuda Swim Team Build and mentor an amazing team of lifeguards, instructors, coaches, and volunteers Make a meaningful difference in the lives of children, families, and community members Support special events, fundraisers, and community partnerships Spend your days around the water—not just behind a desk What You'll Do Indoor Pool Leadership Oversee year-round aquatic programming at the Chippewa Falls YMCA. Coordinate swim lessons, water safety programs, lap swimming, and special aquatic events. Ensure a fun, welcoming, and safe environment for all participants. Outdoor Pool Management Lead seasonal operations at the Bernard F. Willi Outdoor Pool. Work closely with the Chippewa Falls Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Department. Help create a vibrant summer destination for the community. Swim Team Oversight Manage and support the YMCA of the Chippewa Valley Barracuda Swim Team. Foster athlete development, sportsmanship, and a positive team culture. Staff Development Recruit, train, coach, and support lifeguards, swim instructors, coaches, and volunteers. Create engaging staff trainings and in-services. Build a team that delivers exceptional member experiences. Safety First Ensure aquatic programs operate with the highest standards of safety. Lead emergency preparedness and risk management efforts. Promote water safety education throughout the community. Program & Financial Management Develop new programs and grow participation. Manage department budgets and financial performance. Track participation, retention, and program success. Community Connections Promote aquatic programs and water safety initiatives. Build partnerships throughout the Chippewa Falls community. Support YMCA fundraising efforts and special events. We're Looking For Someone Who...
