Full Job Description Work Schedule:
100% FTE, Day shifts M-F with flexibility needed to provide visibility to off shifts as needed.. You will work at American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, WI. Be part of something remarkable. Lead the planning and opening of a new General Care Pediatric unit and provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Pediatric Float Pool, supporting care for patients from newborn through adolescence. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to: Collaborate closely with unit leaders to anticipate staffing needs, maintain competency alignment across units, and drives quality, safety, and patient experience outcomes across all areas served by the float pool. Manage staffing and budget operations, including scheduling, FTE oversight, performance management, and operating budgets for both departments. Foster a culture of adaptability and staffing flexibility to support unit needs. Qualifications Bachelor of Science - Nursing (BSN), Required Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field. Preferred Work Experience Three (3) years of relevant clinical experience. Required Demonstrated progressive leadership experience. Required Five (5) years of progressive leadership experience within same or relevant practice area. Preferred Licenses & Certifications RN Licensed in State of Wisconsin. Required Certification in relevant specialty.
