Level Up Bowl and Bistro Rolling Hills Estates, California About Level Up:
Level Up Bowl & Bistro is an exciting new venue designed to create unforgettable experiences for families and friends. Spanning over 26,000 square feet, it will be one of the largest family entertainment centers (FEC) in the South Bay area of Los Angeles. With a variety of attractions such as bowling, arcade games, projection darts, golf multi-sports, a full-service restaurant, a lively outdoor patio, and more, Level Up promises an unmatched entertainment experience for people of all age groups. The entertainment venue will open in fall of 2025. Our goal is to "Create Extraordinary Moments" for both our guests and team members. Level Up is looking for a Bowling & Games Manager, who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the bowling lanes, arcade, redemption and interactive entertainment offerings at our boutique bowling center. This role ensures smooth daily operations, high-quality guest experiences, and optimal functionality of all gaming equipment. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, a hands-on approach, and a passion for delivering fun in a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment. If you are someone who is passionate about providing gaming entertainment to guests and has operations experience in a family entertainment venues like bowling, arcade, go-karts, indoor golf etc•we would love to hear from you!Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Equipment Management Oversee the day-to-day operations of bowling lanes, arcade, and other games (e.g., projection darts, VR games) Ensure proper functioning, cleanliness, and readiness of all lanes and games at opening and throughout the day Monitor lane assignments, game flow, arcade operations and maintenance schedules Coordinate with technicians and gaming equipment vendors for preventative maintenance and repairs of bowling pinsetters, scoring systems, arcade machines, and other equipment Manage redemption merchandize and systems. Oversee reward points and redemption inventory and re-ordering schedules. Guest Experience & Service Ensure a welcoming, helpful, and energetic presence on the lanes and in the game zone Resolve guest issues quickly and professionally with a focus on satisfaction and retention Collaborate with Guest Services, Sales and Food & Beverage teams to deliver seamless, high-quality experiences Implement lane-side service initiatives, league operations, and family-friendly programming for arcade gaming. Develop standard operating procedures for various gaming components by coordinating with equipment vendors. Team Leadership Hire, train, and schedule bowling & games attendants, mechanics, and support staff Foster a guest-first culture by coaching team members on service excellence, safety, and operational standards Conduct regular team huddles and training sessions on technology, guest interaction, and problem-solving Administrative & Financial Track bowling and arcade performance metrics, including occupancy, revenue per lane/game, and guest satisfaction scores Assist GM/management with weekly reports, maintenance logs, and inventory control Manage game card/ticket systems, scoring software, and POS system functionsQualifications:
Education & Experience:
4+ years of experience in bowling center operations, arcade/game room management, or family entertainment venues High school graduate is minimum qualification. College degree preferred Operational experience in working bowling lane machinery and arcade equipment (QubicaAMF, Brunswick, or similar systems preferred) Excellent team leadership and communication skills Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.Preferred Skills & Traits:
