• Part-time, Full-time Position Summary The Operations & Flight Supervisor plays a critical leadership role at Live on Air Fallsview Balloon Ride, combining aviation responsibilities with sales, administrative oversight, and day-to-day operational management.

This position is responsible for safely piloting balloon flights (training provided), overseeing ticketing and guest services, and ensuring all aspects of the attraction run smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with company standards. This is a hands-on, highly visible role that blends customer experience, team leadership, and operational execution. Key Responsibilities Flight Operations & Safety Serve as a certified Balloon Pilot (training provided by the company) Conduct pre-flight inspections, safety checks, and post-flight procedures Ensure full compliance with FAA regulations and company safety standards Monitor weather conditions and make safe operational decisions Deliver clear and engaging passenger safety briefings Sales & Ticketing Oversight Manage daily ticket sales, reservations, and booking systems Maximize revenue through upselling, promotions, and group sales opportunities Oversee point-of-sale operations and cash handling procedures Ensure accurate reporting of daily sales and attendance Guest Experience & Customer Service Deliver exceptional guest experiences from arrival through departure Address customer inquiries, concerns, and special requests professionally Maintain a welcoming, high-energy atmosphere aligned with brand standards Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements Administrative & Operational Management Handle scheduling, reporting, and general administrative duties Maintain operational logs, flight records, and compliance documentation Coordinate staffing levels based on business demand Assist in inventory tracking and supply management Team Leadership & Supervision Provide day-to-day supervision of team members including ground crew and ticketing staff Train, coach, and support employees to ensure strong performance Enforce company policies, safety protocols, and service standards Act as the on-site leader in the absence of senior management Qualifications Prior experience in hospitality, attractions, tourism, or operations management preferred Strong sales and customer service background Leadership or supervisory experience highly desirable Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment Willingness to complete balloon pilot certification (company provided) Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and peak tourism seasons Physical & Work Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to assist with balloon setup, inflation, and breakdown Must meet physical and medical requirements for balloon pilot certification Compensation & Growth Opportunities Competitive hourly or salary compensation (based on experience) Training and certification as a Balloon Pilot Opportunity for advancement within a growing attraction and entertainment company Unique work environment in a premier tourism destination Why This Role Matters This position is essential to the success of Live on Air Fallsview Balloon Ride, ensuring safe flight operations while delivering a memorable, high-quality guest experience and driving revenue through effective sales and team leadership.
