Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Donor Engagement Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in building and nurturing relationships with our donors, organizing impactful events, and supporting our fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate will have a passion for event planning, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to our mission. Key Responsibilities The Donor Engagement Specialist will work closely with the CEO and senior leadership to advance the mission of Disability Rights and Resources and community engagement initiatives.
Donor Development:
Develop a plan to identify, cultivate, and solicit corporate sponsors. Plan and coordinate donor appreciation events, fundraisers, and other special events to engage and recognize supporters. Prepare reports and presentations for donor meetings, board meetings, and internal reviews. Drive donor cultivation and retention.Event Planning:
Plan events for donors, ensuring each event aligns with DRR's mission and goals. Coordinate the logistics, including venue selection, catering, invitations, registration, and on-site management with the assistance of the management team. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful event delivery. Additional Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service to donors, and other stakeholders, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally. Work closely with the executive team to identify opportunities for program improvement and growth. Responsible for Website design and social medial engagement Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall goals of the organization. Qualifications Team player, willing to help and support other employees and departments, engage in staff events, and demonstrate company values Four-year bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required Minimum 3 years of fundraising experience Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to define and set priorities Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills Strong interpersonal skills; Ability to maintain positive relationships with a variety of personalities Donor Search experience preferred Non-profit experience, volunteering, or strong community involvement a plus Proficient in website design and social media engagementBenefits:
