AS operates residential and retail dining services, the Bell Memorial Union (BMU), and the Wildcat Recreation Center (WREC). Additionally, the AS offers a wide variety of services and programs such as: CAVE (Community Action Volunteers in Education), the Child Development Lab, Adventure Outings, Operation Programs and Services (OPS), Sustainability and student government. Associated Students is now hiring for the position of AS Presents Student Ambassador . This is a part-time, non-benefited student position that will work no more than 20 hours per week while school is in session. The pay rate is $16.90 per hour. The schedule for this position is based upon department needs and is subject to change at any time. To be eligible for student employment, you must be enrolled at CSU, Chico and maintain at least 6 units (undergraduate student) or 4 units (graduate student) throughout the course of employment. SUMMARY The aim of the AS Presents Student Ambassador position is to increase awareness and engagement for both virtual and in-person AS events. Our goal is to provide our event participants with a consistently high level of engaging activities and create a positive experience through our events. Student Event Ambassadors will play a crucial role in event outreach, set-up, and participation during events. Individuals in this position will be highly motivated and thrive in a team environment. This position will work 15-20 hours per week. Applicants interested in this role MUST be available for mandatory training in Chico beginning Monday, August 10. Training will be Monday-Thursday August 10 - 13.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Working directly under the supervision of the Event and Program Manager, this position will support programmatic goals. Position will work in several capacities, including but not limited to event preparation (button making, painting, hanging posters), setup/cleanup. This position will have a large focus on outreach before, during and after events to increase engagement and partnership for AS events, gather feedback from students and assess our event programs. Outreach would include but not be limited to: Tabling on campus and in AS Facilities Academic groups and class talks Relevant campus clubs Fraternities and Sororities Campus organizations and resources Social media posts working with AS Marketing and Design Focused emails to student groups, clubs, and academic departments In-person canvasing of campus and residential neighborhoods Attendance and participation in AS events are a requirement of the position as your schedule allows Register or RSVP in a timely manner for events. Attend a minimum of 6 AS events per semester. Actively participate in events to promote and encourage others to participate during events. Complete all feedback forms pertaining to events attended. Assist with the post event debriefs to measure success. Attend and actively participate in post-event meetings. Provide feedback based on event experience. Discuss elements that went well and areas for improvement.POSITIONS DIRECTLY SUPERVISED
