As an Event Staff Employee, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of events by providing outstanding service and support to event attendees, organizers, and vendors. Your responsibilities will vary depending on the nature and scale of the event, but your commitment to creating a positive and enjoyable experience for all participants will be constant.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Event Setup and Breakdown:
Assist with the setup and tear down of event spaces, including arranging furniture, setting up stages, and installing equipment. Ensure all materials and supplies are in place and functional before the event begins.
Guest Services:
Greet and direct guests as they arrive at the event. Provide information and answer questions about the event, schedule, and venue. Assist with registration and check-in processes.
Crowd Management:
Monitor event areas to ensure safety and compliance with venue regulations. Manage crowd flow and prevent overcrowding in specific areas.
Support Event Activities:
Assist with the coordination of event activities, such as workshops, presentations, and performances. Support vendors and exhibitors with their needs, ensuring they have everything required for a successful event.
Maintain Cleanliness:
Keep event areas clean and tidy throughout the event. Ensure waste is managed properly and facilities are well-maintained.
Technical Assistance:
Provide basic technical support for audio-visual equipment. Liaise with technical staff to resolve any issues promptly.
Emergency Response:
Be prepared to respond to emergencies, following established protocols. Assist in evacuations if necessary and provide first aid within the scope of your training.
Customer Service:
Address and resolve any guest complaints or issues in a professional and courteous manner. Maintain a positive and friendly attitude throughout the event.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
The ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the event schedule. Patience for dealing with busy crowds Ability to work independently in an unsupervised environment. Skill in courteous communication with public. The ability to work as part of a team. The ability to stand for extended periods. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work under pressure Excellent communication and leadership skills. Exceptional organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & LICENSING
  • High school diploma or GED certification (preferred)
  • Minimum one year of similar experience preferred.
  • Must have customer service experience
