Job Description
Islanders Luau Description Islanders Luau provides Island Luau events in Southern California, including Hawaiian catering, authentic Polynesian entertainment and island props and décor. Our events cover a wide variety of occasions from family backyard luaus for 50 people to large corporate events at beautiful resorts and hotels for over 1000 people. We can provide up to 4 luau events on a Saturday depending on the scope. See our website at IslandersLuau.com for more info. Caterer We are looking for a competent and accountable caterer to oversee and organize everything that needs to be accomplished in support of our luau events. This is an event based roles. Our luaus are usually during the summer months on the weekends. Your accountability will be to organize and implement the events as per the agreed request from the customers. Responsibilities
- Work with Islanders Luau management and team to ensure each event is prepared for according to schedule and event details.
- Support our events by preparing all event items and organize them so that each event will be ready on-time for their event.
These items include:
o Island props and décor o Catering equipment and supplies. o BBQ grills and propane. o Sound equipment and lighting for entertainment.- Purchase and any needed items that are needed for each event.
- Ensure company vehicles and equipment is in good and safe operating condition.
- Ensure safe and proper operating condition of the kitchen equipment and shop.
- Clean driving record and ability to drive box vans
- Help with packing, loading, and unloading the catering items needed for the events.
- Keep catering facility current to meet all County Health requirements. Skills
- Accountability to ensure that the assigned responsibilities are accomplished.
- Has California driver's License with clean driving records.
- Effective and timely communication needed to work well with the team and managers.
- Integrity and trustworthy to make sure wise judgement is made on priority action items and purchases.
- Comfortable grilling BBQ meat items o Attention to details. o Excellent organization skills. o Handy with tools to maintain equipment and props.
- Physical ability to lift and load up to 50lbs.
